Viewing the device listing


The list of managed devices on the Devices page enables you to view basic information about each of the listed devices. Through the Device Filter page, you can filter the list of devices based on various device attributes.

Viewing the list of devices

To view the list of devices, go to Network > Spans > Devices.

The list of managed devices is displayed. The list contains various basic details for each device. The list displays only those devices that are in realms for which you have been granted access. Realms are exposed only if your site has more than one realm defined.

You can add to, filter, and refresh the device list to show recent updates (for example, Status of Last Snapshot). Also, you can edit and delete multiple devices together. You can create and manage views to display devices that match a specific criteria. Use the Actions icons to edit, copy, or delete a device.

To view additional data for any specific device, click the device name. The displayed dialog box contains key inventory data, as well as various links for actions and reports.

Actions links list is editable by user and so user can set his own preference of what Action links will he see.

Defining a filter for the device listing

On the Network > Spans > Devices page, click the Filter menu option and do the following:

  1. Specify any combination of criteria by which to filter the list of devices. The criteria for filtering are divided into the following categories on separate tabs:

  2. Click Submit.

    Tip

    After applying your filter, you can save the resulting display in the list of devices as a view, as described in About-lists-and-views and Managing-and-sharing-views.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
