Upgrading

This section provides information about upgrading TrueSight Network Automation and TrueSight Network Automation – Multi-Server Administration.

Note

For systems running local authentication, if you first upgrade to version 8.7 or later and then upgrade to version 20.02 the system forces all the users to change their passwords the first time they log on to the system. This is necessary to ensure that the encryption of user passwords is compliant with the FIPS-140 standards.

Supported upgrade paths

You can upgrade to version 20.02 of the application server and remote device agent from the following versions. Ensure that you are upgrading from one of the these versions.

  • 8.7.00
  • 8.8.00
  • 8.9.x

Note

If you are upgrading to version 20.02 from a version earlier than 8.7.x, first upgrade to one of the following versions, and then upgrade to version 20.02. Use the corresponding documentation links to perform the pre-upgrade, upgrade, and post-upgrade tasks for these versions.

You can upgrade to version 20.02 of Multi-Server Administration from version 8.9.x
