Removing the integration with TrueSight Network Automation from HP NNM


This topic describes how to remove the integration with TrueSight Network Automation from the HP Network Node Manager (NNM) system. The instructions are applicable for installations on either Microsoft Windows or Linux computers.

To remove TrueSight Network Automation SNMP trap definitions from an HP NM 7.x sytem

To remove the Network Automation SNMP trap definitons, remove Network Automation MIB file by entering the appropriate command (depending on which MIB file you installed):

xnmloadmib -unload EmprisaNetworksV1.mib
xnmloadmib -unload EmprisaNetworksV2C.mib

To remove TrueSight Network Automation menus

If you installed the Network Automation menus into the native user interface, remove them by deleting the registration file called enetaware from the $OV_REGISTRATION directory.

If you installed the Network Automation menus into the Java user interface, remove them by deleting the registration file called enetaware.jovw from the $OV_WWW_REG directory.

To remove TrueSight Network Automation event categories and severities

If you used xnmevents to map Network Automation traps to HP NNM categories and severities, remove them as follows:

  1. From the HP NNM main menu, select Options > Event Configuration.
  2. Select enaNotifications in the list of enterprises.
  3. Select each of the events from the lower list.
  4. Select Edit > Events > Delete.
  5. When all of the events are deleted, select Edit > Enterprises > Delete.
  6. Select File > Save.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
