TrueSight Network Automation provides built-in integration with Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) registries.

Integrating BMC Discovery with Network Automation enables automatic discovery of physical and virtual IT assets and applications, and the relationships between them.

Integrating Network Automation, BMC Remedy ITSM applications, and BMC CMDB enables an automated coordination of configuration management processes with other Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.

TrueSight Automation Console (recommended)

TrueSight Vulnerability Management


Integrating Network Automation with TrueSight Automation Console enables you to analyze and remediate network vulnerabilities.

Using TrueSight Automation Console, you can:

  • Import scan files that survey the network infrastructure in your environment
  • Map network devices detected in scans to the devices managed in Network Automation
  • Map vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure to the rules for which grammar and corrective actions have been defined in Network Automation
  • Remediate network vulnerabilities by modifying rules
  • View results of remediation actions for network infrastructure

Similar capabilities are available with BMC's older offering (TrueSight Vulnerability Management).

TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse contains an in-built, Java-based ETL engine, which extracts data from TrueSight Network Automation, transforms it, and loads into the data warehouse. TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse also contains the reporting content that can be used by a reporting tool (for example, Yellowfin, Tableau, and Crystal Reports) to create reports.

Integrating Network Automation with third-party network management systems provides the following benefits:

  • Cisco-Data-Center-Services-Node: Automated discovery and initial configuration of each Cisco Firewall Service module and Cisco Application Control Engine (ACE) module in a Cisco Data Center Services Node.
  • Entuity-Network-Analytics: Loading the Network Automation management information base (MIB) into Entuity Network Analytics for Network Automation SNMP trap viewing.
  • HP-Network-Node-Manager: Loading Network Automation MIBs into HP NNM for Network Automation Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) trap viewing
