Uninstalling


To uninstall TrueSight Network Automation Reporting, uninstall the following products in any sequence:

  • TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse
  • TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform

Uninstalling TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse using the wizard

  1. Log in as Administrator on the computer where you have installed TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse.
  2. Select Start > Programs > TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse > Uninstall to launch the uninstallation wizard.
  3. Follow the instructions to uninstall the product.
  4. Clean up the system.
    1. Delete the installation files and folders.
    2. Clean up the the temp directory.
    3. Delete the ETL and Purge tasks from the Task Scheduler if they exist.
    4. Drop the reports data warehouse.

Uninstalling TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse silently

  1. Log in as Administrator on the computer where you have installed TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse.
  2. Create a text file called options.txt or download the attached sample file, if the file does not exist.

  3. Make sure to include the appropriate -P or -J option in the options.txt file.

    Sets the installation folder for an application.

    -P installLocation=<filePath>

    -P installLocation=C:\Program Files\BMC Software\TSNADW

    -J

    Specifies Java properties that correspond to user inputs.

    -J DA_DWH_DATABASE_NAME=orcl
    -J DA_DWH_DATABASE_PORT_NUMBER=1521
    -J INSTALL_TSNA_DW=false

  4. Change to the directory where the uninstall file is located, for example: C:\Program Files\BMC Software\.
  5. Run the uninstaller with the -i silent option. You must use an absolute path to the options.txt file.

    uninstall.exe -i silent -DOPTIONS_FILE= pathToFile\Options.txt

    If the path contains spaces, enclose it in quotation (" ") marks.

  6. Clean up the system.
    1. Delete the installation files and folders.
    2. Clean up the the temp directory.
    3. Delete the ETL and Purge tasks from the Task Scheduler if they exist.
    4. Drop the reports data warehouse.
