Getting started

Use the TrueSight Network Automation Reporting solution to understand the state of devices in your corporate network infrastructure, such as your implementation of compliance automation. Network Automation Reporting helps you realize this goal via data compilation and reporting on the following aspects of your network environment:

  • Device activity
  • Inventory
  • Changes and sources of those changes
  • Device compliance
  • Configuration drift

TrueSight Network Automation Reporting is a reporting solution for Network Automation. This solution uses the following products:

  • TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse — A Network Automation component that works as the ETL engine and the data warehouse. This product also provides out-of-the-box reporting content.
  • TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform — A reporting platform that enables you to administer, create, and publish reports seamlessly. You can use simple drag-and-drop actions to create complex reports. It offers an enhanced, user-friendly look to your reports.

Reports provided by Network Automation Reporting are generated on the data collected from Network Automation. In addition to the out-of-the-box reports, you can also create your own custom reports.

TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse

Network Automation - Data Warehouse applies rich-data warehouse schema and dimensional modeling principles to access and report on data that is captured by the Network Automation operational database and stored in the reporting data warehouse.

TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform

Smart Reporting - Platform is an advanced reporting platform that uses Yellowfin as the reporting tool. Using this platform, you can generate reports in a view that is simple to understand and configure. You can generate and render reports with a simple drag-and-drop action.
