Managing sites


Site Manager allows you to add, enable, disable, update, or delete TrueSight Network Automation sites for reporting.

Do the following:

  1. Navigate to the TSNADWInstallationDirectory\bin\bna\sitemanager\scripts directory.
  2. Double-click sitemanager.bat.
    You are prompted for the operation that you want to perform with sites.
  3. Type one of the following options depending on your requirements:
    • add: Allows you to add a new site as a source for ETL and reporting. Enter the following details:
      • TrueSight Network Automation database host name for the site
      • TrueSight Network Automation database port number for the site
      • TrueSight Network Automation database name <service name for oracle> for the site
      • TrueSight Network Automation database user for the site
      • TrueSight Network Automation database password for the site
        When you add a new site, the site is enabled for ETL and reporting, by default.

        Note

        To obtain these details for a site, log on to TrueSight Network Automation. On the Admin tab, click System parameters.

    • update: Allows you to update details for the secondary sites after you upgrade to version 8.9.04.003 or later. 
    • show all: Displays the available sites and their status (enabled or disabled).
    • enable: Allows you to enable a site for ETL and reporting. Enter the site name that you want to enable. The site name must be a valid site name.
    • disable: Allows you to disable a site for ETL and reporting. Enter the site name that you want to disable. The site name must be a valid site name.
    • delete: Allows you to delete a site. Enter the site name that you want to delete. The site name must be a valid site name. When you delete a site, ETL and reporting is not available for that site. 
    • refresh: Allows you to populate master tables with a site if the data for that site data is not available
    • help: Provides details of the preceding options.
    • exit: Helps you exit the Site Manager utility.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
