About the Canvas view

The Canvas view in the Operations Console lets you create a graphical representation of the components that are being monitored in your environment. The components are represented by objects that can be placed on a background image. The objects can be graphics, such as images or connectors, or metrics information, represented in a tile. 

You can create and display a Canvas view for any event collector, group, device, or service that you select in the navigation tree by clicking the Canvas view button in the toolbar in the right pane view of the Operations Console.
