I cannot launch BMC Impact Model Designer successfully
You must restart Apache Tomcat after installing BMC ProactiveNet CMDB Extensions. If you try to launch BMC Impact Model Designer without restarting Apache Tomcat, the launch might fail. I cannot see the BMC Impact Model Designer menu bar in spite of installing BMC Impact Model Designer successfully
You might not be able to view the BMC Impact Model Designer menu bar due to either of the following reasons:
- You might have clicked the BMC Atrium Explorer icon instead of the BMC Impact Model Designer icon on the main page of BMC Atrium Core Console. The user interface (UI) of both these products are similar. The following figures display the two icons.

- You might not have administrator privileges. Only administrators can view BMC Impact Model Designer.
- You might have clicked the BMC Atrium Explorer icon instead of the BMC Impact Model Designer icon on the main page of BMC Atrium Core Console. The user interface (UI) of both these products are similar. The following figures display the two icons.
I cannot see the changes I made to the CIs
Sometimes, the changes you make might take time to reflect in the GUI. Click the Refresh View icon on the toolbar to see the changes immediately.
The service model I try to create appears as yellow blocks
Sometimes, the service models you are trying to create mightbe displayed as yellow blocks. Click the Refresh View icon on the toolbar for the service models to be displayed correctly.
