Reasons to upgrade to BMC ProactiveNet 9.5 or 9.6

This announcement summarizes the recent features that have been added in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management versions 9.5 and 9.6.

This technical bulletin lists the reasons for you to migrate to BMC ProactiveNet 9.6 using the BMC Assisted MIGration Offering (AMIGO) program. This program will assist you to update your environment to the latest version of the BMC product.

The AMIGO program is a program designed to assist customers with the planning of product upgrades to a newer version. The focus of the program is to help direct and guide customers in the best path for success to reach their goal by identifying pitfalls early during the planning stage and prior to the actual upgrade, install, or migration. This is accomplished by providing documentation, previous knowledge and experience, and published best practices put together by experts in BMC Customer Support and R&D.

If you are a BMC ProactiveNet 8.x or a 9.0 customer, BMC recommends that you evaluate the new and enhanced capabilities available in the 9.6 release and begin your planning to migrate from earlier versions of BMC PATROL or BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management to the latest release using the AMIGO program. If you are a BMC ProactiveNet 9.5 customer and do not need the enhancements provided in version 9.6, BMC encourages you to continue with your 9.5 deployment.
