BMC ProactiveNet architecture with the integration of the BMC PATROL Agent

This topic presents how the BMC PATROL Agent is integrated out-of-the-box with BMC ProactiveNet. It also presents the benefits that can be derived out of this integration and includes the following topics:

BMC PATROL Agents send data and events to the Integration Service which in turns filters the data and events before passing them on to the BMC ProactiveNet Server.

Notes

  • A maximum of 900 PATROL Agents can be connected to an Integration Service.
  • If you want to monitor a hybrid infrastructure in IPv6 systems, the PATROL Agent has to be on a dual stack.
