Uninstalling BMC ProactiveNet in high-availability mode


This section describe how to uninstall BMC ProactiveNet in high availability (HA) mode:

Uninstalling the BMC ProactiveNet Server in HA mode on Microsoft Windows

Ensure that you restart the computer before uninstalling the BMC ProactiveNet Server on the primary node.

To uninstall the BMC ProactiveNet Server on the primary node, perform all the steps detailed in the Uninstalling the BMC ProactiveNet Server on Windows section. 

To uninstall the BMC ProactiveNet Server on the secondary node, perform the following tasks:

  1. Go to \standByuninstall\UninstallBPPMServer.
  2. Run the uninstall.exe command to uninstall the BMC ProactiveNet Server.

    Note

    Ignore the severe messages displayed while uninstalling the BMC ProactiveNet Server from the secondary node.

  3. Delete the standByuninstall folder in the root drive of the installation directory, after the uninstallation is complete.

Uninstalling the BMC ProactiveNet Server on a cluster in HA mode on Linux or Solaris

To uninstall the BMC ProactiveNet Server on a cluster, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the installationDirectory/UninstallBPPMServer directory.
  2. Run the uninstall command.

Uninstalling the BMC ProactiveNet Integration Service in HA mode on Windows

Perform the following steps to uninstall the BMC ProactiveNet Integration Service in HA mode.

To uninstall the BMC ProactiveNet Integration Service on the primary node, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Control Panel on the computer in which you installed the BMC ProactiveNet Integration Service.
  2. In the Control Panel, under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
  3. Select BMC ProactiveNet Integration Service Ver 9.6, and click Uninstall/Change.
  4. On the Welcome page, click Next.
  5. On the Uninstallation Summary page, click View Log to view the uninstallation logs, or click Done.

To uninstall the BMC ProactiveNet Integration Service on the secondary node, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the root drive of the installation directory. Navigate to /standByuninstall/UninstallBPPMAgent.
  2. Run the uninstall.exe command to uninstall the BMC ProactiveNet Integration Service.

    Note

    Ignore the severe messages displayed while uninstalling the BMC ProactiveNet Integration Service on the secondary node.

Note

After the Integration Service is uninstalled on both the primary and secondary servers, if a “ProNetAgent” resource is not removed automatically, you may receive warnings. To remove the resource manually, run the following command:

cluster.exe resource ProNetAgent /DELETE
