Retrieving data from BMC ProactiveNet

This topic covers information about the web services that retrieve data from BMC ProactiveNet.

Overview

You can use these web services to retrieve metadata, configuration data, or performance statistics data of specific resources from BMC ProactiveNet. For example, you can retrieve data about monitor types and monitor instances for a specific time period.

List of web service

The following web service APIs are available to retrieve data from BMC ProactiveNet:

  • metadata — Retrieves the monitor types and attributes of a specified resource
  • configdata — Retrieves the configuration data of a specified resource
  • stats — Retrieves the performance statistics data of a specified resource

These web services use the GET method to retrieve data. You must provide authentication credentials by using the login API before accessing the data. For information about authentication, see Web-services-authentication.
