Preparing to run client samples
A BAROC file, mc_iiws.baroc, is included in the samples. This file defines an event class used in testEvents and testSendEvents samples, and a data class used in the sendEventsData sample.
Copy mc_iiws.baroc to the cell's KB directory and load to the cell.
Running client samples
Client samples use the properties files to define the program properties and API arguments, and to provide data for running the samples. You must adjust the properties file to suit your deployment environment.
- Edit the sample properties file and set IIWS_URL, CellName, the test cases, and any other relevant parameters.
- Change directory to the testSendEvents sample directory. For example, C:\IIWS_client_samples\testSendEvents
- Edit the testSendEvents.properties file and set IIWS_URL to the BMC Impact Integration Web Services endpoint. For example, IIWS_URL = http://localhost:8080/imws/services/ImpactManager
- Set CellName to the value of the cell that you plan to communicate with, and set any other properties as needed.
- Run the testSendEvents sample through run.bat.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each sample.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
