pw sso unregister

The pw sso unregister command is used to disable integration between BMC ProactiveNet and BMC Atrium SSO server. The command ensures that BMC Atrium SSO server does not have a reference to the current BMC ProactiveNet installation.

The syntax for the command is as follows:

pw sso unregister
Information
Example

To disable integration, and unregister the agent deployed, run the following commands:

pw sso load
pw sso register
Warning

Note

  • pw sso unregister removes the agent and its registration. However, you must run pw sso load to complete the step. If you do not run pw sso load, when you log on to BMC Atrium, the SSO server displays an error message.
  • You must unregister a deployed agent before making any configuration changes to the agent. Unregister the agent, make the configuration changes, and then register a new version of the agent. You cannot unregister a deployed agent if configuration changes are made while it is deployed.

Manual deletion

If the pw sso unregister command is not used, you will have to manually delete the BMC ProactiveNet Agent entry on the BMC Atrium SSO server console, delete the agent folder, and update the configuration on the BMC ProactiveNet Server host.

Manually delete an entry on the Atrium SSO server console

  1. In BMC Atrium SSO, navigate to Access Control > /Top Level Realm
  2. Click the Agents tab.
  3. Click the J2EE tab.
A list of the Agents that are registered on the SSO Server displays.
  4. Identify the two Agents corresponding to your BMC ProactiveNet Server host. Search for the following patterns:
    • /@<BMC ProactiveNet Server Host>:<Port
    • /admin@<BMC ProactiveNetServer Host>:<Port
  5. Mark the Agents to delete by selecting their corresponding check boxes.
  6. Click Delete.
Manually update SSO configurations on the BMC ProactiveNet Server host
  7. On the BMC ProactiveNet Server host, delete the <Install Folder>/pw/tomcat/atssoAgents folder.
  8. Remove the SSO-related configuration entries from the following files:
    • <Install Folder>/pw/pronto/conf/pronet.conf
    • <Install Folder>/pw/pronto/conf/pnjserver.conf
    • <Install Folder>/pw/pronto/conf/ias.properties
