pw sso
The pw sso commands can be used postinstallation to configure the integration of BMC Atrium Single Sign-On (SSO) with BMC ProactiveNet.
These commands can be run only by the following users:
- Root user on the operating system or the Administrators belonging to the group Administrators on Windows
- BMC ProactiveNet users with Administrator privileges. For more information, seeUsers with administrative privileges. For BMC Atrium SSO installations that use an authentication system that does not manage group information, such as CAC, BMC recommends managing group information in the LDAP internal to BMC Atrium SSO. This will then serve as a central place that can be accessed by all BMC ProactiveNet instances in an installation.
If SSO Integration is not defined during installation, the first time you integrate BMC ProactiveNet with BMC Atrium SSO by using the command line, the commands must be run in the following sequence:
- pw-sso-config
- pw sso registe To unregister the integration, the following command is used:
pw-sso-unregister
Postinstallation integration can also be configured using the Post Installation Configuration interface in the BMC ProactiveNet Operations Console. For more information, see Configuring-BMC-ProactiveNet-Integrations-using-the-Operations-Console.
For more information about BMC Atrium SSO, see the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On 8.1 documentation.
