Configuring the BMC ProactiveNet Server as a Central Server Router or a BMC ProactiveNet Child Server manually


The BMC ProactiveNet Server is automatically configured as a Central Server or a Child Server when you install the BMC ProactiveNet Server or when running the pw-configwsroles command. This command updates the corresponding values in the pw\custom\conf\bppmws.properties file. However, if for some reason, the servers are not configured automatically, you can configure them manually.

To configure BMC ProactiveNet Server environments using CLI commands, see pw-configwsroles.

To configure a BMC ProactiveNet Server as a Central Server Router or a BMC ProactiveNet Child Server manually

  1. Using a text editor, open the bppmws.properties file located in the pw\pronto\conf folder.
