Default user names and passwords

BMC ProactiveNet provides default user names and passwords that can be used to access functionality in the BMC ProactiveNet Operations Console and Administration Console. 

 For new installations (computers where BMC ProactiveNet has never been installed), the following default user names and passwords are used:

  • Administrator: admin/admin 
  • Service Managers: service_admin/slm 
  • Event Administrator: event_admin/event_admin 
  • Operators: oper/ops 
  • Supervisor: user/user

For upgrade users (computers where BMC ProactiveNet has been upgraded from a previous version), the following default user names and passwords are used:

  • Administrator: admin/admin 
  • Service Managers: slm/slm 
  • Event Administrator: event_admin/event_admin 
  • Operators: ops/ops 
  • Supervisor: user/user

By default, no user account is created for Read Only groups.

Warning

Note

For security reasons, the Administrator should change the password for these accounts after the initial log on to BMC ProactiveNet.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
