Default roles and permissions


BMC ProactiveNet provides default roles and permission. To view the default roles assigned to a user group, in the Administration Console, select and right-click the user group name. Select Edit User Group. The default roles appear in the Selected Roles list.

The pre-defined roles can be changed according to deployment requirements.

The following default roles are provided: 

  • Blackout Administrator
  • Cloud Administrator
  • Data Collection Administrator
  • Data Collection Operator
  • Deployment Administrator
  • Event Administrator
  • Event Operator
  • Event Supervisor
  • Monitoring Administrator
  • Read Only
  • Service Administrator
  • Service Operator
  • Service Supervisor
  • Super Admin
  • Web Services Access

Note

 All the permissions under the Unified Administrator category apply only to the Central Monitoring Administration server and not to the Child Server.
