Launching the BMC ProactiveNet Administration Console on Solaris and Linux
Perform the following procedure to start the administration console on Solaris or Linux.
To launch the BMC ProactiveNet Administration Console on Solaris or Linux
On the computer where the BMC ProactiveNet Server is installed, from a command line, enter:
pw admin- Specify the following information:
- Name or IP Address of the BMC ProactiveNet Server that you want to connect to.
- User name with access rights to the BMC ProactiveNet Server. The default is admin.
- Password corresponding to the user name. The default is admin.
To change the password from the default, see Changing-your-BMC-ProactiveNet-Administration-Console-password. - The type of connection to connect to the BMC ProactiveNet Server is a direct connection.

- Click OK.
The BMC ProactiveNet Administration Console is displayed as shown in the following figure:
