Important information about modifying configuration files
If you want to make any configuration changes, you must copy the Variable section from the configuration file located in the pronto\conf directory and paste it into a configuration file of the same name in the custom configuration directory
For example, if you want to make changes to the pnrate.conf file, perform the following steps:
- Create a customizable configuration file named, pnrate.conf, in the following directory:
- (Solaris or Linux) usr/pw/custom/conf
- (Windows) installationDirectory\custom\conf
- Using a text editor, open the pnrate.conf file from the following default configuration directory :
- (Solaris or Linux) usr/pw/pronto/conf
- (Windows) installationDirectory\pronto\conf
- Copy the Variable section from the /pronto/conf/pnrate.conf file into the /custom/conf/pnrate.conf file that you created in step 1.
- Make the changes to the configuration parameters in /custom/conf/pnrate.conf.
- Save and close /custom/conf/pnrate.conf.
