Service model publishing
Service model publishing is the process of distributing the service model data to BMC ProactiveNet cells. After a promotion is completed, the publishing server is notified of the termination of a reconciliation and starts a publication. From the BMC Atrium CMDB, the publishing server distributes the BMC.ASSET dataset to the cells.
You can initiate the publishing automatically by using BMC Impact Model Designer or manually by using publish.
When the CIs and relationships are published, you can monitor the CIs by using BMC ProactiveNet.
