You can monitor your VMware environment and resources from the BMC ProactiveNet Central Monitoring Administration console and determine how to best utilize those virtual resources and as effectively as possible.

You can monitor the following features in your VMware environment:

• Configure and monitor virtual machines.
• Assess how your virtual and physical resources are being utilized in your virtual environment.
• Create filters to include or exclude objects like clusters, hosts, virtual machines, and datacenters from monitoring.
• Create filters to include or exclude VM templates (excluded by default) and SCSI devices (included by default).
• Configure event monitoring based on various event properties such as event severity, event type, managed object, and user generated events.
• Choose a collection mode to monitor attributes related to either Enterprise or Cloud Lifecycle Management.
