Configuring Sybase Replication Server


You can configure a list of Replication Servers in the Sybase Replication Server Configuration dialog box.

  1. Enter the Replication Server details for each Replication Server.

    Field

    Description

    Server Name

    Enter the name of the Replication Server that you want to monitor. The name must be unique.

    Server Version

    Enter the version of the Replication Server that you want to monitor.

    Runserver Name

    Enter the name of the runserver file for the Replication Server.

  2. Enter the Sybase directory information.

    Field

    Description

    Sybase Home Directory

    Enter the Sybase home directory for the Replication Server.

    Sybase RS Sub-Directory

    Enter the Sybase RS sub-directory for the Replication Server.

    Sybase OCS Sub-Directory

    Enter the Sybase OCS sub-directory for the Replication Server.

  3. Enter the server files details.

    Field

    Description

    Error Log File

    Enter the path and name of the log file for the Replication Server.

    Configuration File

    Enter the path and name of the configuration file for the Replication Server.

  4. Enter the RSSD data server account details for the Replication Server.

    Field

    Description

    RSSD Server Name

    Enter the RSSD server name for the Replication Server.

    RSSD Database Name

    Enter the RSSD database name for the Replication Server.

    Warning

    Note

    You can find the RSSD data server account details in the configuration file of the Replication Server.

  5. Enter the ASE SA account details.

    Field

    Description

    ASE Username with sa_role

    Enter the username with sa_role to access the ASE Server.

    ASE Password

    Enter the password for the specified username.

  6. Enter the ASE PATROL account details.

    Field

    Description

    ASE Username

    Enter the username to access the ASE Server for general menu commands and parameters.

    ASE Password

    Enter the password for the specified username.

  7. Enter the Replication Server SA account details.

    Field

    Description

    Replication Server SA Username

    Enter the username with sa_role to access the Replication Server.

    Replication Server SA Password

    Enter the password for the specified username.

  8. Enter the Replication Server PATROL account details.

    Field

    Description

    Replication Server Username

    Enter the username to access the Replication Server for general menu commands and parameters.

    Replication Server Password

    Enter the password for the specified username.

  9. Enter the operating system account information.

    Field

    Description

    User Name

    Enter the username of the OS account that starts the Replication Server.

    Password

    Enter the password for the specified username.

  10. Enter the object details to monitor for the Replication Server.

    Auto PARTITION Discovery

    To automatically monitor all discovered partitions, select Auto PARTITION Discovery

    Partition Name

    If you want to select the partitions manually, enter the partition names, and click Add to List. To edit the selected partition, select the partition, and click Modify Selection. You can edit the partition name, and click Add to List. To remove any partition, select the partition, and click Remove from List.

  11. Click Add to List.
  12. Repeat steps 1 through 11 until you have added all the Replication Servers.
  13. Do one of the following:
    • To add the Replication Server monitor type, click Add.
    • To close the window, click Close.
    • To clear all the settings and initialize the dialog box, click Reset.
  14. Click Save.
