Configuring Sybase IQ Server


You can configure a list of IQ Servers in the Sybase IQ Configuration dialog box.

  1. Enter the Sybase IQ Server details for each IQ Server.

    Field

    Description

    Sybase IQ Home Directory

    Enter the home directory of the Sybase IQ Server that you want to monitor.

    Sybase IQ Engine Name

    Enter the IQ engine name.

    You can find the IQ engine name at the - n flag in the IQ Server configuration file if you used one, or through the ps -ef | grep <iqName> command.

    Sybase IQ Version

    Enter the version of the IQ Server.

    Sybase IQ Sub-directory

    Enter the subdirectory of the IQ Server.

  2. In the Sybase IQ Error Log File box, enter the IQ Server error log file name with its location.
  3. Enter the IQ account information.

    Field

    Description

    User Name

    Enter the username of the SA account that connects to the IQ server.

    Password

    Enter the password for the specified username.

    Confirm Password

    Reenter the password for the specified username.

  4. Enter the operating system account information.

    Field

    Description

    User Name

    Enter the username of the OS account that starts the Sybase IQ Server.

    Password

    Enter the password for the specified username.

    Confirm Password

    Reenter the password for the specified username.

  5. Click Add to List.
  6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 until you have added all the IQ Servers.
  7. Do one of the following:
    • To add the IQ Server monitor type, click Add.
    • To close the window, click Close.
    • To clear all the settings and initialize the dialog box, click Reset.
  8. Click Save.
