Configuring monitoring settings

In the Monitor Configuration tab, you configure the Sybase Database Monitoring solution.

1. In the navigation pane of Central Monitoring Administration, click the Policies drawer and select a policy view.
2. Click Add , or select an existing policy and click Edit .
3. Select the Monitor Configuration tab
4. From the Solution menu, select Sybase Database.
5. From the Version menu, select the required version.
6. From the Monitor Type field, select one of the following monitor types for configuration:
   • Sybase Discovery
   • Sybase IQ Discovery
   • Sybase Replication Server
   • Sybase Log Transfer Manager
7. If you have selected Sybase Discovery as the monitor type, see Configuring Sybase Adaptive Server.
8. If you have selected Sybase IQ Discovery as the monitor type, see Configuring Sybase IQ Server
9. If you have selected Sybase Replication Server, see Configuring Sybase Replication Server.
10. If you have selected Sybase Log Transfer Manager, see Configuring Sybase Log Transfer Manager Server.
11. Click Save to save the Sybase Database Monitoring solution settings that you have entered.

Where to go from here?

When you have completed the Monitor configuration, you can continue to the Threshold Configuration tab or click Update to save the configuration.
