Migrating custom reports

After you successfully upgraded to BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Reporting 9.6.00, Perform the following steps to migrate the custom reports you had generated in the UNX Universe to the current universe:

  1. Select Start > All Programs > SAP BusinessObjects BI Enterprise 4.0 > SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise > SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Java BI Launch Pad.
  2. Enter your log in details and click Log On.
  3. Select the custom report that you want to migrate.
  4. Right-click the custom report > Modify.
    The report is displayed in the modify mode. 
  5. Click Data Access > Tools > Change Source tabs.
  6. Select the query to open Change Source Wizard.
  7. In Change Source Wizard, select Specify a new data source option.
  8. Click Select a data source > Universe.
  9. In the Universe pane, select the BPPM Datamart.unx universe.
  10. Click Select.
  11. Click Next.
  12. In the Object Mapping pane, verify the mapping of old and new Universe objects, with the Universe objects comparison list.
  13. Click Finish.
  14. In Query Panel, click Run Query.
  15. Save the report.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
