Support for Oracle Standard Edition

Support for BusinessObjects 4.0 UNX Universe

BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Reporting 9.5.00 now supports SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 UNX universe.

Support for operating systems

Cross functional Report for Event, Impact, and Performance data

You can now create cross functional ad hoc reports by combining information and data of Event, Impact, and Performance based on business requirements, by using the available universe objects.

Downloading the installation files

BMC Software products are generally distributed by way of the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) site. This section contains instructions for downloading the BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine and SAP BusinessObjects installation files from the EPD website.

1. Create a temporary directory on your computer for the product installation files.
2. Go to the Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website.
3. Enter your BMC Support account user ID and password, and then click Submit.
4. Click Download Product.
5. On the Export Compliance and Access Terms page, provide the required information, agree to the terms of the agreements, and click Continue.
6. If you are accessing the EPD site for the first time, create an EPD profile to specify the language(s) and platform(s) you want to see; otherwise, skip to the next step. For information about EPD profiles, see the Profile section of the Help page for the EPD website.
7. Select the Licensed Products tab.
8. On the Download Licensed BMC Products page, expand BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management > BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management 9.5.00.
9. To download BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine installation files, select Solution Reports - BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management 9.5.00 for your associated platform.
10. To download SAP BusinessObjects, expand Reporting, and select BMC Reporting Foundation 4.0.00 - Full Install (Business Objects; Includes Reporting Studio).
11. Click Download (FTP) or Download Manager:
    • Download (FTP) places the selected items in an FTP directory, and the credentials and FTP instructions are sent to you by email.
    • Download Manager enables you to download multiple files consecutively, and to resume an interrupted download if the connection drops.
      This method requires a one-time installation of the Akamai NetSession Client program on the target computer and is usually the faster and more reliable way to transfer files. A checksum is used to verify file integrity automatically.
