summary_period command


The summary_period command enables you to show the rolling summary value for a period of time before a point on a chart.

For example, by default, the points on the availability chart represent the total availability for the 30 days previous to that point in time. This setting sets the summary period for all reports that display summary values.

Warning

If you change this setting, all summary data for all objects must be recalculated. During recalculation, the reports will be unavailable, and there may be server performance impacts. BMC recommends to change this setting only during off-hours.

The syntax for this command is: 

summary_period [-h] [-p value] [-display]

Options and arguments for the summary_period command

Example

For (Windows): summary_period -p 60

For (Solaris/Linux): ./summary_period.sh -p 60

In the above example, the rolling summary period is set as 60, and the points on the availability chart represents the total availability for the 60 days previous to that point in time.
