This section contains information about fixes and updates in this service pack, and provides instructions for downloading and installing the Service Pack 2.
Enhancements
Service Pack 2 provides the following enhancements:
Filtering devices based on BMC Atrium CMDB attributes
You can now retrieve the CMDB attributes from the BMC_ComputerSystem configuration item (CI) in the BMC ProactiveNet Cell. You can also filter devices in the reports on the basis of CMDB attributes to generate reports. For more information, see Generating-reports-based-on-BMC-Atrium-CMDB-attributes.
Configuring multiple Report Engines to use a common BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Reporting database
Multiple instances of the BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Report Engine can use a single BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Reporting database to send data. This enables you to view data from multiple BMC ProactiveNet Servers in a single report. This feature helps in the optimal use of hardware resources.
You configure multiple Report Engines by installing multiple BMC ProactiveNet Report Engines and registering with multiple BMC ProactiveNet Servers to point to a single database.
The retention properties of the Report Engine are now database centered to support multiple BMC ProactiveNet servers using a single database. To change the Retention Age properties, you now need to run the ConfigureRetention CLI command. For more information, see ConfigureRetention.
