Starting and Stopping the Report Engine service
This section explains about how to start and stop the Report Engine service for Windows, Solaris, and Linux.
To start and stop the Report Engine service on Microsoft Windows systems
- On the computer on which you have installed BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine, click Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Services.
- On the Services window, right-click the BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine service, and click Start/Stop.
The BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine service is started or stopped according to the selected option. Similarly, you can also restart, pause, or resume the BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine service.
To start, stop, or restart the Report Engine service on Solaris and Linux
- On the computer on which you have installed BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine, open the command line prompt.
- Run the following command:
/etc/init.d/BMCProactiveNetReportEngine start|stop|restart
The BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine service is started, stopped, or restarted according to the command. You can also find the status of the BMC ProactiveNet Report Engine by running the following command:
/etc/init.d/BMCProactiveNetReportEngine status
