Configuring monitoring settings

On the Monitor Configuration tab, you can add, edit, or delete monitor types for BMC ProactiveNet End User Experience Management Monitoring. Each of your monitor types contains the basic configuration necessary for connecting to the Real User Analyzers and obtaining data about real web traffic from BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring.

  1. In the navigation pane of Central Monitoring Administration, click the Policies drawer and select a policy view.
  2. Click Add Add icon.gif for a new policy, or select an existing policy and click Edit edit icon.gif.
  3. In the Add Policy or Edit Policy dialog box, click the Monitor Configuration tab.
  4. To define a new monitor type, click Add.
To edit an existing monitor type, select the row of the monitor type and click Edit. Then skip to step 8.

    Note

If you already have an End User Experience Management monitor type defined, adding a new one will overwrite the existing monitor type.

  5. From the Solution list, select End User Experience Management.
  6. From the Version list, select the current version 1.1.00.
  7. From the Monitor Type list, select End User Experience.
Do not select the Default Monitoring option; it is not applicable for this solution.
  8. Complete the configuration according to Configuring-End-User-Experience-Monitoring.
