About IP Address Management

BMC Network Automation supports the following IP Address Management (IPAM) technologies:

• An integrated solution that is packaged and installed with the product
• Integration with third-party solutions

The integrated IPAM solution is administered in the Admin tab of the BMC Network Automation UI. For more information, see Managing-the-integrated-IP-Address-Management-system.

To use a third-party IPAM solution, you must use BMC Atrium Orchestrator as a middle-tier between BMC Network Automation and the third-party system. You need to configure this interface in BMC Atrium Orchestrator.

Currently, BMC Network Automation provides adapters for VitalQIP and Infoblox out-of-the-box.
