Viewing a Change Details report


The Change Details report displays the changes between two configurations. Event occurring before the change (for example, who made the change) and after the change (for example, impact of change) are included in the report. To view and interpret the Change Details report, perform the following steps:

  1. Launch a report such as the Change Summary Report and then, click the View Change Details Report Icon_Reportdetails.png icon.

  2. (Optional): Perform one of the following tasks by using the menu options that are available on the Change Details Report page:

    Menu option

    Description

    Print View

    Print a copy of the report.

    Export

    Export the report to one of the following formats:

    • HTML
    • PDF
    • RTF

    Email

    Email the report to one or more recipients in one of the export formats.

    Close

    Close the report window.

    Help

    Display Help.

  3. Select one of the following radio buttons:
    1. Difference Only View: To view only the differences between the files (default).
    2. Full View: To view all configuration lines, side-by-side.
  4. Review the legend information as shown in the following table to interpret the results:
