Integrating


BMC Network Automation provides built-in integration with Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) registries. You can enable the integration with a UDDI registry during installation of the BMC Network Automation application server. Integrating BMC Discovery with BMC Network Automation enables automatic discovery of physical and virtual IT assets and applications, and the relationships between them.

Integrating  BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management with BMC Network Automation allows the latter to handle all container management, firewall and load balance management, and network resource management, including IP address pooling.

Integrating  BMC Network Automation, BMC Remedy ITSM applications, and BMC Atrium CMDB enables an automated coordination of configuration management processes with other Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.

Integrating BMC Decision Support – Network Automation with BMC Network Automation provides expanded reporting capabilities.

Integrating BMC Network Automation with third-party network management systems provides the following benefits:

  • Cisco Data Center Services Node: Automated discovery and initial configuration of each Cisco Firewall Service module and Cisco Application Control Engine (ACE) module in a Cisco Data Center Services Node.
  • Entuity: Loading the BMC Network Automation management information base (MIB) into Eye of the Storm for BMC Network Automation SNMP trap viewing.
  • HP Network Node Manager: Loading BMC Network Automation MIBs into HP NNM for BMC Network Automation Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) trap viewing.
