Installing and configuring a CodePlex TFTP server on Windows
If you have chosen not to install the TFP server during the BMC Network Automation installation, you can install and configure it manually later.
Before you begin
Confirm that Microsoft .NET 3.5.x is installed on the BMC Network Automation application server host.
To install and configure the CodePlex TFTP server
- Log on to the application server.
- Extract the installation files (bna-server-v.r.mm-win64.zip) and navigate to the Disk1\files\bcan directory.
- Locate the e2cc7141b12b.zip file and extract it.
- Navigate to the tftpd directory and run TFTPServer.exe.
- Click Yes to install the service.
The TFTP server window opens. This window shows the current status of the server and contains controls for stopping, starting, and configuring it. - On the TFTP server window, click Configure.
- On the TFTP Server configuration window, click Add.
On the Settings dialog box, enter configuration settings, as described in the following table:
- Click OK.
- In the TFTP Server configuration window, click OK.
- When the confirmation dialog box appears, click Yes to allow restart of the TFTPD service.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
