Preparing for upgrades

Before you start upgrading the products in the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management solution, review the topics in this section to plan for your BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management upgrade. The upgrade process consists of several critical steps. Therefore, BMC recommends that you carefully plan the upgrade first.

Important

The procedures described in the following sections apply to upgrading to version 4.7.00 or upgrading to the latest service pack, unless otherwise specified. Before you prepare for upgrade, download the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management installation files. See Downloading-the-installation-files.
