Unable to access My Cloud Services console

To be able to use the My Cloud Services console, make sure that these settings are enabled in your browser:

  • Cookies
  • localStorage
  • sessionStorage

Warning

Note

For Microsoft Internet Explorer and Google Chrome browsers, all three settings are enabled (or disabled) with one setting. For Mozilla Firefox browsers, the localStorage setting works independently of cookies (which also control sessionStorage settings).

Success

Tip

Another thing to consider if you cannot log in is your access permissions. You must be configured with one of the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management roles, and the contract for the tenant you are under must not have expired.

To enable the settings in Internet Explorer browsers

  1. In an Internet Explorer browser, choose Tools > Internet Options.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Under Settings, move the slider as needed to allow cookies for the My Cloud Services console URL.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Reload the My Cloud Services console in the browser.

To enable the settings in Chrome browsers

  1. From Chrome browser menu (ChromeMenu.png), select Settings.
  2. Click Show advanced settings at the bottom of the page.
  3. Under Privacy, click the Content settings.
  4. Under Cookies, select Allow local data to be set (recommended) if it is not already selected.
  5. Click Done.
  6. Close the page. (Your changes are automatically saved.)
  7. Reload the My Cloud Services console in the browser.

To enable the settings in Firefox browsers

  1. In the Firefox browser, enable cookies and sessionStorage:
    1. From the Firefox menu (FirefoxMenu.png), select Options.
    2. Click Privacy to open the Privacy panel.
    3. Under History, select Use custom settings for history from the Firefox will menu.
    4. Select Accept cookies from sites if it is not already selected.
Alternatively, you can click Exceptions, and in the dialog box that appears, enter the URL for the My Cloud Services console. Click Allow. Then, click Save Changes.
    5. Close the page. (Your changes are automatically saved.)
  2. To enable localStorage, make sure that that you selected the following options in step 1:
    • If added exceptions (by clicking Exceptions), make sure that the Allow status (not Allow for Session) is set for the My Cloud Services console URL.
    • If Accept cookies from sites is selected, make sure that the Keep until field displays they expire (not I close Firefox).

If you do not select these options, localStorage is disabled, and you will not be able to access the My Cloud Services console.
  3. Reload the My Cloud Services console in the browser.
