Configuring the infrastructure for Amazon Web Services support

Typically you perform the activities of the setup phase of your Amazon Web Services (AWS) integration only once. These activities include configuring the AWS provider and setting up credentials.

Task

Description

The AWS provider is registered by default during the installation process. There is no need to register an AWS provider manually in the Provider workspace. If you need to change a value for the AWS provider, use the procedure described in this topic.

The AWS accounts, represented by aliases in BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management, serve to perform specific functions in the Amazon cloud based on requests sent by BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management. This topic provides an overview of AWS accounts and how to configure the AWS account.

Where to go from here

Your first task is to configure user credentials for AWS workloads.
