Required knowledge and skills for developers

Before you start developing your own software using the API, become familiar with the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management operational concepts described in the Key-concepts, Solution-architecture, and administering sections in this site.

Also, you must be familiar with the following:

  • Sending and receiving standard HTTP messages
  • A programming language that supports standard HTTP messages
  • RESTful web services programming techniques
  • Cloud computing, virtualization, and networking concepts
