Preparing for BMC Server Automation job deletion from BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management

If there are a large number of old BMC Server Automation jobs, enabling periodic job deletion on a BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management resource provider can cause a temporary performance impact on the system. To reduce this stress, BMC recommends that you rename the following job folders to prevent possible performance issues associated with trying to delete all the old jobs at one time:

  • CSM_Jobs
  • CSM_NSH_Jobs
  • CSM_Provisioning_Jobs
  • CSM_Virtual_Guest_Jobs

BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management will recreate these folders when needed.

To delete the jobs in these folders, you can right-click the renamed folders and select Delete.
