Upgrade issues with BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management

When upgrading the BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management (BMC ProactiveNet) Server, if warning messages, such as One or more process is still running or Port 80 is busy are displayed, perform the following steps:

  1.  Log on to the BMC ProactiveNet Server host and close all instances of the BMC ProactiveNet Administration Console.
  2. Close all open pw folders.
  3. Stop the service that is using port number 80.
  4. Using the Services window, change all the BMC ProactiveNet  processes to Manual.
  5. Restart the BMC ProactiveNet Server host.
  6. In the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management installer, click Previous.
     The verification begins.
  7. After the verification is completed, click Next.
  8. If the installer restarts the BMC ProactiveNet Server after a successful upgrade, ensure that the server is running before you upgrade the BMC ProactiveNet Data Collection Host.

    Note

If the BMC ProactiveNet Server is using a dynamic IP address, ensure that the IP address does not change when the system restarts. If the IP address has changed, update the device and agent whose IP address has changed with the new IP address and restart the system.
