Editing compute resource pools

When you edit a compute resource pool, you can change:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Tags
  • Resources

To edit a compute resource pool

  1. From the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Administration Console, click the vertical Workspaces menu on the left side of the window and select Resources.
  2. Under Quick Links on the left, click Compute Pools under the Compute section.
  3. Select the pool from which want to add or remove a compute resource, and click the Edit icon edit_button.gif.
     The Edit Compute Pool dialog box is displayed.

  4. Change the Name or Description as needed.
  5. To make tag changes, click the tag icon tag_button.gif.
  6. To remove resources from the pool:
    1. Select the resources you want to remove from the pool in the Selected Resources table.
    2. Click the Remove button.
       You can also drag and drop resources from one table to the other.
       The selected resources move to the Available Resources table. After you save your changes, the removed resources can then be added to another compute resource pool.
  7. To add resources to the pool:
    1. Find the resources that you want to add.
      • You can page through a long list by clicking the page button pagebtn.gif.
      • You can search for resources by entering a search string in the Search box and clicking the search icon search_button.gif.
    2. Select one or more resources and click the Add button to move them to the Selected Resources table.
       You can also drag and drop resources from the Available Resources table to the Selected Resources table.
  8. Click Save.
     The compute resources pool is updated.
