Managing performance monitoring
Performance monitoring helps you check how well a device is running. You can see how much processing power, memory, network, and disk activity the device is using. This information helps you confirm that the device is healthy and performing as expected.
To access performance monitoring
- In BMC Helix Client Management Web Console, open the device that you want to monitor.
- Click Health Management.
- Select the Performance Monitoring tab.
- When the Connection Status dialog appears, wait for the system to build the remote session.
- (Optional) Click Cancel if you want to stop the session initialization.

View processor usage
In the Processor panel, you can:
- See the current CPU usage on the usage bar.
- View a live graph that shows how the CPU has been used over time.
- Turn the Client Management toggle on or off to only monitor Client Management agent memory or the whole system.
- Adjust the time interval for monitoring by selecting from options like Seconds, Minutes, Hours or Days. (currently set to 120 minutes).
- View Maximum, Minimum, and Average CPU usage for the selected time range to analyze performance trends.

View memory utilization
In the Memory panel, you can:
- Check the current memory usage on the usage bar.
- View the memory usage graph for the selected time period.
- Turn the Client Management toggle on or off to show or hide management‑related data.
- Adjust the time interval for monitoring by selecting from options like Seconds, Minutes, Hours or Days (currently set to 120 seconds).
- View Maximum, Minimum, and Average memory usage for the selected time range to analyze performance trends.

Monitor network activity
In the Network panel, you can:
- Select the network Interface, For example: General.
- Review the incoming traffic (green) and outgoing traffic (red).
- Adjust the time interval for monitoring by selecting from options like Seconds, Minutes, Hours or Days (currently set to 120 seconds).
- View the Maximum, Minimum, and Average incoming (green) and outgoing (red) network traffic for the selected time range to analyze data transfer trends.

Monitor disk activity
In the Disks panel, you can:
- Select the Disk Drive, For example: General.
- Review disk read activity (green) and write activity (red).
- Check the current data values displayed at the top.
- Adjust the time interval for monitoring by selecting from options like Seconds, Minutes, Hours or Days (currently set to 120 seconds).
- View the Maximum, Minimum, and Average read and write activity for the selected time range to analyze performance trends.
