To set the web console preferences

From My profile, click Preferences to set the web console preferences.

Parameter

Description

General

Language

The console supports a number of different languages. Available languages are French, German, Japanese, Spanish, UK English, and US English. Select the required language from the list. When the console is opened for the first time and no preferences have been set yet, it will select the language of the local operating system, if it is one of the previously listed languages. If the language of the local operating system is not listed, then the console displays US English as the default language.

Grids

Auto Refresh Interval (sec)

This entry defines the maximum time that can elapse without refreshing the screen. If that time has elapsed, the screen refreshes automatically.

Auto Logout

Auto logout delay (sec)

This entry defines the maximum time that can elapse without any input to the computer by the keyboard or mouse before the console is locked down for security reasons. If that time has elapsed, all active remote control sessions are ended. If the language of the local operating system is not listed, then the console displays US English as the default language. The user/administrator is automatically logged out. If this value is to set to 0, the option is deactivated and the user is not logged out.

Connection Configuration

Color Scheme

Select the color scheme for the remote control session.

  • Automatic: Remote control module selects the most appropriate settings.
  • Grey levels: Displays the target screen only in black and white.
  • Color: Displays the target screen in color. You can also select a specific color depth to display.

Color Resolution

Select the color resolution for the remote device.

Display Cursor of Remote Device

Select this option if you want to display the cursor and its movements during a remote control session.

Disable Wallpaper

Select this option to disable the wallpaper on the remote device.

This feature does not work if the wallpaper is set by GPO (Group Policy Object) on the remote device. The remote control feature verifies if it is possible to restore wallpaper before removing it. In case of GPO, restoring the wallpaper is not possible so this feature has no effect.

Lock client mouse and keyboard

Select this option to lock the desktop (mouse and keyboard) while the remote session is in progress.

This option doesn't work for the remote control on request session.

View only

Select this option for view-only mode for the session. You can only see what is happening on the target but cannot take control of the client via mouse or keyboard. However, you may still use any of the other remote options, such as transfer or clipboard options.

Fit to screen

Select this option to fit to screen and maintain the aspect ratio of the controlled screen.

Hide Toolbar

Select this option if you want to hide the toolbar.

Color Theme

Select Dark if you want to set the dark mode in the web console.

To download the Java console

  1. From My profile, click Java Console Installation to download the WebStart installer for Java console.
  2. Run the installer to open the Java console.

Web console files are downloaded as gzip archives. You need to re-deploy gzipped customized Languages.json and American.json files after the update. Use a custom pack for redeployment.

Important

We recommend downloading the Java console from the Preference tab for the RSSO customer to log in to the Console directly, without adding any credentials.

To download SSL certificate

To improve the performance of direct access connections, you should install the certificate authority on your system. For more information on installing certificates, see Installing-certificate-on-systems.

  1. From My profile, click SSL Certificate.
The following message is displayed on the screen.
    Web_console_ssl_cert.jpg
  2. Click the download button.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
