Verify the master and relay hardware requirements
These tables list the hardware requirements by number of nodes. It is important to understand that this document generalizes hardware requirements and can be adjusted for any given environment. When running in virtual environments, CPU, RAM and NIC usage on the host system can impact performance. Dedicated physical CPU, RAM and NIC cards can improve performance.
Verify the software requirements
For information about the software requirements, see Software-requirements.
Master hardware sizing requirement

16 GB | 2/4/2 GHz/8.0 MB | 200 GB |
- Number of relays required varies based upon network topology and other environmental factors.
- These estimations are for infrastructures in which a Windows relay has a maximum of 2000 child nodes or a Linux relay has 5000 child nodes.
- Required disk space depends on the BMC Client Management features you are using. For example, if you are using Patch Management (including several Windows 10 versions and languages) or big software distribution or your relay is configured as OSD Image Repository (several images of 8 GB each), you might need more disk space.
Hardware requirements for the java console
Computers on which the java console is to be launched require at least 8 GB RAM.
