Configuring Oracle Net Configuration

  1. Log on as the Oracle user.

    su – oracle

  2. Run the following command.

    ./netca
  3. Select Local Net Service Name Configuration and click Next.

  4. Select Add and click Next.

  5. Specify the Service Name and click Next.

  6. Select Yes, perform a test and click Next.

  7. Check the result. It must be successful. Click Next.

  8. Enter a name for the net service, for example DBBCM, and click Next.

  9. Click Next.

    Net service name configuration is complete.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
