Managing services on a device

You can start or stop the services and configure startup options by using the Services option on the Windows devices. However, you cannot stop restart the agent by using this option.

To view services

Perform the following steps to view the services associated with the selected device.

  1. On the Welcome page, search for a device or select a device from the list of frequently selected devices.
  2. Click Actions > Direct Access > Services.
    A list of services associated with the selected device is displayed.

To start/restart/stop a service

  1. On the Services tab, select the service to start.
  2. Select Actions > Start/Restart/Stop.

The service will be started/restarted/stopped immediately.

To edit the service parameters

Perform the following steps to display all properties of a service and modify its values:

  1. On the Services tab, select the service to edit.
  2. Select Actions > Edit.
  3. Edit the values. You can modify only display name and the startup type.
  4. Select Actions > Save to save the modifications.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
