Managing registry on a device
To view a registry
- On the Welcome page, search for a device or select a device from the list of frequently selected devices.
- Click Actions > Registry.
All the keys associated with the selected device are displayed.
To create a new key
You can create new keys (or subkeys) to be added to a Registry key folder.
- Select the registry key folder under which the new key is to be placed.
- Click Create Key.
The Create New Key dialog box is displayed. - Enter a name for the new key.
- Click OK to confirm.
To create a value
By using the Registry node, you can create new values for an existing key. Three different types of values can be created:
- String value
- Binary value
- DWORD value
- QWORD value
To create a new value, do the following:
- Select the key for which the new value is to be created.
- Click one of the following: Edit> Create String Value / Create Binary Value / Create DWORD Value / Create QWORD Value.
The new value is automatically created under the key.
You can use the Actions button to edit the value or remove it.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
