Remote control preferences

General

View only

Select this option for view-only mode for the session. You can only see what is going on the target device but cannot take control of the client via mouse or keyboard. However, you may still use any of the other remote options, such as transfer or the clipboard functions.

Display Cursor of Remote Device

Select this option if you want to display the cursor and its movements during a remote control session.

Disable Wallpaper

Select this option to disable the wallpaper on the remote device.

Lock client mouse and keyboard

Select this option to lock the desktop (mouse and keyboard) while the remote session is in progress.

Deactivate Hardware Acceleration

Select this option to deactivate the hardware acceleration of the remote device.

Color Scheme

Select the color scheme for the remote control session.

  • Automatic: Remote control module selects the most appropriate settings.
  • Monochrome: Displays the target screen only in black and white.
  • Color: Displays the target screen in color. You can also select a specific color depth to display.

Color Resolution

Select the color resolution for the remote device.

  • Automatic: Remote control module selects the most appropriate settings.
  • The number of bits available varies according to the selected color scheme. From 1 to 8 bit colors for the monochrome display of the target screen and 3-24 bit colors for a colored display of the remote control session.

If automatic is selected as the color scheme, the color resolution is automatic. If the BMC video driver is not used, only the following options are available: Automatic for leaving the choice to the remote control module, colors (4 bit), colors (8 bit), colors (16 bit).

Java Console

Automatic scroll

Select this option if you want to automatically navigate in the remote control view without using the scrollbar.

Web Console

Fit to screen

Select this option to fit to screen and maintain the aspect ratio of the controlled screen.

Hide Toolbar

Select this option if you want to hide the toolbar.
